Hero Classes

1.Tank

Tanks are hard to kill due to their health-focused stats and items. They usually take the Top Laner or Support role in early game, and fight at the front line as impassable walls to protect their allies in late-game teamfights.

2.Fighter
Fighters have decent mobility. With half tank items built, they are able to deal lots of damage and take a fair amount of damage as well. In early game, Fighters often solo in the top lane or jungle. As the match progresses, they focus more on reaping from the rear and ganking fragile enemies in teamfights initiated by Tanks.

3.Archer
Archers, also known as ADCs (Attack Damage Carry), use physical-damage items and deal high physical damage in late game. Archers often take the bottom lane in early game and move behind allies to deal consistent damage as the match progresses.

4.Assassin
Assassins usually equip physical items and need some Health-based items to enhance their defense as the match progresses. Assassins specialize in infiltrating enemy lines with their unrivaled mobility to quickly kill enemies in late game. While in early game, Assassins often play as a Jungler.

5.Mage
Mages possess great ability damage or control, and focus on building magic items. They are able to deal high damage from afar in late game and contribute a lot in teamfights. Mages usually take the middle lane in early game, while some with excellent control and ability buffs can support Archers in the bottom lane. Mages move behind a Tank or tower to deal damage in late game, and clear enemy troops when guarding their tower.

6.Support
Supports are often heroes that dedicate themselves to helping the team. They build items mainly for survival and physical/magic direction. With stunning control and buffs, Supports can survive well and deal a fair amount of damage. They usually assist Archers in the bottom lane in early game, and focus on control in late-game teamfights. Supports help the allies escape from dangers and grant them buffs to sustain longer in teamfights.

Heroes Arise Terminology
Top Laner:
Top laner refers to the hero who defends the top lane on his own. Different from some MOBA games on PC, Heroes Arise has the top and bottom lanes reversed for the two sides, which makes your top laner play against enemy ADC and Support in their bot lane. Thus, Top laners need to have high survivability and resistance.

Mid Laner:
Mid laner is the hero, usually a Mage, who guards the middle lane on his own. Mid laners can develop faster by farming a lane of enemy troops and are expected to significantly contribute to teamfights in late game.

Last Hit:
Killing troops brings Gold and experience. Last hitting means you use basic attacks, abilities, or equipment to make the killing blow on enemy troops. There are bonus rewards for last hitting.

Buff:
It’s a positive effect applied to a hero and usually obtained from monsters in the jungle area.

Counter Jungle:
To slay monsters in the enemy’s side of the jungle, depriving the enemy team of buffs, Gold, and experience.

Counter Kill:
A hero with advantages over his enemy is unexpectedly killed by this enemy.

Growth:
To collect Gold and experience by killing jungle monsters and enemy troops. Growing your hero is the most important thing before you build a set of max-level gears, as well as the key to win in teamfights.
